Dr. Anthony DeMaria, DPM, ABFAS is a native of the Northern Kentucky area, born and raised in Boone County. He is a graduate of Boone County High School and Thomas More College. He successfully obtained his doctorate from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2000 and went on to complete a three-year residency in foot and ankle surgery in Erie, PA.
Dr. DeMaria is board certified in both foot and ankle surgery. He also has served as an associate residency director at the James H. Quillen Veterans Administration Hospital where he had the privilege of serving the medical needs of our military veterans. Here he trained student doctors and residents the art of foot and ankle surgery. He is an adjunct clinical professor at the Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine and has extensive training in conservative and surgical management of foot and ankle disorders in adults and children.
His philosophy is to exhaust conservative care and management options prior to offering his patients surgical intervention. His medical interests include biomechanics of the foot and ankle, custom bracing and orthotics, and wound care.
In his spare time, Dr. DeMaria enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, restoring classic 1950 era Dodge vehicles, woodworking, welding, and working in the garage with his children on various projects.
